Why does mulch weight vary so much?+
Mulch type, particle size and moisture content can change bulk density substantially. The density field is adjustable for this reason.
Can I use this for bags of mulch?+
This tool is designed around bulk volume. If your bag lists its volume, divide the required volume by the bag volume and round up to whole bags.
Can I use the calculator for an irregular garden bed?+
Yes by splitting the bed into smaller rectangles, calculating each section and combining the quantities.
